First off, Natasha Bedingfield? Nope! It’s Jessie J. Yeah, I know.. I was surprised too.

When I first heard this song, I was like.. Cool song from Natasha Bedingfield. Her songs sound like this.. Next thing you know, it’s Jessie J. Oh okay.. So I made a quick search on her.. (don’t be confused with another singer “Jessy J”.. what’s with all the glamour names anyway?)

Speaking of name changing.. Holly Brook, the one who sang the background for the song “Where’d You Go” with Fort Minor.. she changed her name to Skylar Grey. I mean, what’s going on here? Good Girl Gone Bad? Total opposite kinda names. Holly Brook sounds so sweet and nice.. Skylar Grey sounds.. well.. like futuristic.. X-Men stuff. She also sang the background for Eminem & Dr. Dre’s performance at the Grammy’s.

UPDATE on Skylar Grey’s name changing. It’s because she likes Grey Sky. She wanted to be called “Grey”. Her manager then added “Skylar” and there you go. More details here.

Hmm.. how did I get off tracked anyway..? Anyway, Jessie J Bio Below..

Jessie J’s Wikipedia Bio

Jessica Ellen Cornish (born 27 March 1988), better known by her stage name Jessie J, is an English singer and songwriter. She first saw fame when she began writing tracks for Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera. In February 2011, she won the prestigious Critic’s Choice award at The BRIT Awards in 2011. She also wrote the song “Party in the U.S.A.” for Miley Cyrus.

Anyway, did I mention I have a good respect for B.o.B.? Did you guys checked his performance at the Grammy’s? He did a great Acapella style of “Nothing on You”. I’ll save that for the next post..

For now, Jessie J. Ain’t about the money, money, money..

A little advert here for the Album on Amazon..

Jessie J – Who You Are – 2011

It’s not about the money, money, money
We don’t need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
Ain’t about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
Ain’t about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.

Intro:
Ok
Coconut Man
Moonheads
and P
You ready.

Verse 1:
Seems like everybody’s got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night.
When the sale comes first,
And the truth comes second,
Just stop for a minute and
Smile
Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious
Got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can’t even have a good
Time.

Pre-chorus:
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right
Can you feel that? (yeah)
We’re playing with love tonight…

Chorus:
It’s not about the money, money, money
We don’t need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
Ain’t about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
Ain’t about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.

Verse 2.
(Listen, Okay.)
We need to take it back in time,
When music made us all UNITE!
And it wasn’t low blows and video hoes,
Am I the only one gettin… tired?
Why is everybody so obsessed?
Money can’t buy us happiness.
Can we all slow down, enjoy right now?
Guarantee we’ll be feelin
Alright.

Pre-chorus

Chorus

Bridge:
Lala-Lala-Lalala ay!
Lala-Lala-Lalala ay!
Lala-Lala-Lalala ay!
Price Tag!

Lala-Lala-Lalala ay!
Lala-Lala-Lalala ay!
Lala-Lala-Lalala ay!
Price Tag!

Chorus

Break it Down

Money, money, money
Money, money, money

The first time i heared this song it felt so real, like it relates to our world today in our ecom.. And also to different countries like africa. japan, since they are going thru so much. I thinkl it has a powerful message, and i would recomed this song as a theme song for any organization that doesent care about money who know that their is more to life.
