The latest American Idol, David Cook is a genius for picking this song for the last performance. It’s such an emotional song that’s pretty sentimental.
So yeah, I feel sad listening to this song. Yet, it’s a very hopeful song. I love the feeling of faith instilled in it. Knowing that this world is mine. This world is a world that I know.
If I need to just describe how I felt like listening to this, I’ll just go back in my mind, back in time when everything was so simple. When it was just me, alone with everyone backing me up while I do anything.
I guess it’s been such a different world now. Yet there will be times when we feel like the puzzle fits and everything is according to plan.

I’ve posted this song two years before (from Bad English). Tonight I’ve discovered Clay Aiken’s version. He’s got this natural tone for the song. It simply makes the song different. Regardless whichever version you prefer, surely you can’t deny that this song is such a good, emotional song.
This song relates a lot to me now. I’m so in love with my girlfriend who has such a pretty and amazing smile.

David Cook – Dream Big
Say what you like about the American Idol finalists, but I got this feeling almost anyone will have a clear cut idea who they might vote for.
Personally, I’d vote for David Cook. He’s probably one of the most creative singers in the competition. Even though I’d like to see him smile and have that confidence more for the finals, but I have to give a big hand to David Cook for coming out with such an great performance with such versatility.
To me, this song is just perfect for finals. I love the lyrics and the melody. Emily Shackleton wrote such a meaningful song that is so fun and commercial. It’s true though. We might as well have faith and dream big; if not, what’s the use?
After all, we’ve only got one of anything significant in life.
